What to Expect During Services

⊕ Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will meet with your family to create a Treatment Plan that reflects your family goals for your child.

⊕ It typically takes 2-3 weeks to write a Treatment Plan after meeting with your family

⊕ This plan is submitted to Tri-Care for approval, it takes 7-10 business days to receive approval for the plan

⊕ Once the approval has come in, we will have a team built for you consisting of your BCBA and 1 or 2 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) depending on the recommendations by the BCBA

⊕ RBTs will be implementing the Treatment Plan under the supervision of the BCBA.

⊕ BCBA will visit your home regularly to provide either supervision for the RBTs or to have meetings with your family on your child’s progress and address any questions or concerns you may have about their progress or the techniques being used.

⊕ Typical sessions occur several times a week and last around 3 hours each.

⊕ Every 6 months the BCBA will update the Treatment Plan with progress and evaluate the efficacy of the treatment based on the data collected by the RBTs

⊕ This updated progress report is submitted to Tri-Care for approval

⊕ We also provide a copy to your PCP for coordination of care.

⊕ Every 2 years Tri-Care requires that your child go through a review process. This process will determine if the child is eligible to continue ABA Therapy. The review process consists of the following parts:

→ A new diagnostic evaluation performed by an approved diagnosing provider the confirms their ASD Diagnosis and severity level

→ A new referral from your PCM must be submitted to Tri-Care

→ NCBS will submit a review of all progress made up to this point
